Spend a night with Rue
June 18th, 2007 | by Sue |While I was checking out the Heceta Head Lighthouse Bed and Breakfast page, I noticed that Victoria’s Room is the most popular. According to the site, that is the room that Rue is most likely to be seen in. For this upcoming summer season, there are exactly two nights available, one in July and one in August. Taken from their site:
Sheltered from wild coastal elements, the Lightkeepers slept in this room. You will find peace in the four-poster high bed and perhaps a visit from “Rue.‿ Stylized with relics of the Victorian era, the room has a modern private bath with a marble shower made from the old spacious closet. This room is fashioned with a trundle bed for an extra guest or those who prefer separate beds. Price: $168- $215
This of course got me wondering, would you want to spend the night in a lighthouse, knowing you may see a ghost? And if you did, would you want to be alone? Or maybe with someone else? Take the poll on the right, and add your comments. I know I would love to spend the night, with or without someone to share the possibility of meeting Rue, the Gray Lady of Heceta Head.
