PETA Withdraws Letter for Penfield Reef

Just a quick post to note that PETA has offered to withdraw its application for ownership of Penfield Reef Lighthouse. On their blog today, it was posted that they had no idea that the town of Fairfield wanted Penfield Reef Lighthouse. Huh? It was all over the news that a haunted lighthouse was up for grabs the day after Haunted Lights posted the information.

However, their letter to Mr. Kenneth Flatto, First Selectman of Fairfield, comes with a caveat. They are willing to withdraw their interest, as long as Fairfield can promise that no fish will be hurt with the town’s ownership.
