Point Lookout Lighthouse Featured In Series

Point Lookout Lighthouse, one of America’s most haunted, is featured in an article on The Anchor.

A small excerpt from the article:

Ever since the light had been deactivated, there has been an inquiry as to whether the lighthouse was haunted. The person living there at the time was Gerald “Gerry” Sword. He wrote down notes of some events that he was unable to explain. Some of these events ranged from loud voices he heard in the night, especially during storms, to footsteps constantly being heard in the hallway, to hearing a sound that resembled snoring in the kitchen, and many other strange occurrences.

Bird Island Lighthouse Needs Facelift

Haunted Light In Poor Condition

Restoration on Bird Island Lighthouse, Buzzard’s Bay, Mass, has been kickstarted even though the head of the preservation group, Charles Bradley, Jr., is retiring. In a letter to the Board of Selectmen, he outlined the repairs that needed to be done. These include repairs to the handrail, windows that need cauling and a new coat of paint.

Penfield Reef Decision In Sight

At one time several groups, including PETA, wanted to “buy” Penfield Reef Lighthouse from the US government for one dollar. At the end, it will be down to only two, the town of Fairfield and Beacon Preservation. The two entities were the only ones that had submitted applications by the deadline of 18 Jan.

“Beacon Preservation had asked for an extension earlier, to better prepare their application for ownership of this haunted lighthouse. PETA bowed out of their lighthouses for fish empathy project, and nothing was received from Kennedy Healing Foundation and St. Ambrose Foundation, who’d also expressed interest last summer.

Scared Online

The video above is the trailer to the TV show in New York that was filmed while we were there by Scared. Yes this was filmed for tv. And the Scared group had also set up monitoring videos in the basement of the former keeper’s home, and the upstairs.

The guys did interviews with several of us, including myself and Jeremy D’Entremont. I haven’t seen the video, though, and if anyone reading this has seen it, contact me. It’s local to New York City.
